Championship 2018

The Championship Draws were held in Carrick on Shannon on Monday night, and some interesting clashes were thrown up for the Senior and Junior teams. We were drawn with Mohill, Ballinamore SOH, Aughawillan, Dromahair and Drumreilly in the Senior Championship. The Juniors will face Carrigallen, Glenfarne/Kilty and Drumkeerin in the Junior A Championship

U13 Shield Final

Our U13s played in the shield final Saturday morning against Allen Gaels in Drumshanbo. After a very tough first  half Allen Gaels were in front at half time 08  to 1-02 assisted by a very strong breeze. We made a few changes and on the restart we got a goal but Allen Gaels replied with a goal of their own. We fought hard throughout the second half but we couldn't get in front. The last 10 minutes was end to end football but Allen Gaels came out on top on a score line 3 11 - 3 07.

Team: David Liu Doyle, Tommy Reen, Luke McManus, George Glaze, Nathan Ryan, Oisin Maguire, Noah McNulty, Mathew Davis, Jack Gannon, Riaghan Ward, Ryan Fanning, Adam Reen, Jonathan Boyle, Senan Woods, Aaron Kearney

Jack Reynolds was unable to take part due to injury and we  wish Jack a speedy recovery.

Congratulations

To Keeldra Gaels Ladies player Aisling Sorohan who recently picked up a Third Level Colleges All Star due to her performances at corner back for Athlone IT's O'Connor Cup team who narrowly lost to DCU in the final. Well done on a brilliant individual achievement

Club Meeting

A Club meeting will be held in the Centre this Friday evening the 20th in the centre at 7.30. All are welcome to attend.

Comhbrón

We extend our sympathies to the Reynolds family, Bornacoola and the wider Bornacoola GAA community on the sad passing of Shay Reynolds. Shay was a true Gael who will be sadly missed by all involved in GAA in Leitrim. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
