Leitrim star Emlyn Mulligan says the League of Ireland have shown a "bit of common sense" by calling off all their games this weekend, suggesting that the GAA should follow suit.

A call on whether or not to go ahead with this weekend's full round of Allianz Football and Hurling League fixtures is expected to be made by Association at some stage on Friday, with Storm Emma (aka 'The Beast From the East') causing disruption all across the country, particularly in the Leinster and Munster regions.

Mulligan is currently sidelined as he continues to recover from a knee problem, but his Leitrim team mates are expected to head across the Channel on Friday to take on London in Saturday afternoon's Division 4 clash at Ruislip.
