Leitrim manager Brendan Guckian knows that they have work to do, but feels there are plenty of positives to take from their campaign so far.

Guckian feels that every member of the squad is giving it their all as they continue their preparations for the forthcoming National Football League.

"The most positive thing for me is that we have 36 guys there that want to be there and they want to wear the Leitrim jersey and they are working extremely hard, regardless of what people might think," said Guckian.

Leitrim suffered a heavy defeat to Roscommon in their opening FBD League clash before holding Mayo to a draw in Castlebar and they now face Sligo next Wednesday, but Guckian is keen for the squad to bond over the coming weeks.

"I think the most important thing is that we keep the group together and we have a group there that want to continue on, to push on. We have to work with what we have and the guys that are there are putting in the work and that is a positive sign of things."
