Portlaoise continue their quest to regain the Laois senior football championship as they advance to a last four meeting with Graigecullen.

A comfortable win over O'Dempsey's last weekend sees the town team progress to the semi final with little or no difficulty and they look formidable this year.

Graiguecullen had their work cut out to defeat St Joseph's in the last eight and they will need to improve if they are to beat the former champions.

In the other semi-final, there is a novel pairing as both Portarlington and Ballylinan are seeking to reach the final after a long absence.

Portarlington's last appearance in the decider came back in 2001, while Ballylinan's only ever appearance in a county senior final was in 1987.
