Peter Creedon's future as Laois senior football manager looks to be in doubt as the Cork native was heavily criticised at a recent county board meeting.

The O'Moore County had a poor year in 2017 as they have been relegated to Division Four, while their All-Ireland series ended prematurely.

Only last week, stories circulated from the county about players drinking mid-season and Creedon was the centre of attention for club delegates at the county board meeting last week with many stating that he should not be in charge for another year.

Emo delegate Mick Lawlor went as far as stating that Creedon could set back Laois football 'five or six years'.

Another delegate, St Joseph's Michael Moore proposed that the manager not be reappointed and this was seconded by Arles-Kilcruise delegate JJ Conway.

County Board chairman Gerry Kavanagh intervened and stated that the campaign would be discussed with the senior football reps before any course of action would be taken.
