Cavan ease past Laois
Cavan have beaten Laois convincingly in the opening game of the 2017 TG4 All Ireland Senior Championship, 2-17 to 1-10 at Ashbourne.
An early goal from Aishling Sheridan set the Breffni girls on their way to a 10-point half-time lead and when 2016 All Star nominee Aisling Doonan scored a goal soon after the restart, it was all over.
Cavan will now play Waterford next weekend while Laois are in serious danger of relegation.
