Laois champions O'Dempseys were in action against St Brigids of Longford in the Leinster club IFC first round at Glennon Bros Pearse Park today.

It's been a busy day in the Leinster club intermediate and junior competitions.

In the Leinster club IFC, O'Dempseys (Laois) overcame St Brigids (Longford) 2-17 to 1-11, Arklow Geraldine Ballymoney (Wicklow) defeated Taghmon Camross (Wexford) 2-11 to 1-11, St. Joseph's (Louth) edged out St. Andrew's (Carlow) 1-11 to 0-13, while Cappincur (Offaly) were 1-16 to 0-4 winners over Railyard (Kilkenny).

In the Leinster club JFC, Rosenallis (Laois) pipped Bective (Meath) 0-9 to 0-8, Kilcullen (Kildare) squeezed out St. Patrick's (Carlow) by 0-14 to 1-10, while Bracknagh (Offaly) powered to a 1-18 to 1-4 win over Ashford (Wicklow). The remaining quarter-final between Castletown-Finea/Coole/Whitehall (Westmeath) and Duffry Rovers (Wexford) will take place in Castlepollard tomorrow at 2pm.

In the Leinster club JHC, St. Oliver Plunkett's (Westmeath) accounted for Kiltegan (Wicklow) by 1-24 to 2-9 and Ratoath (Meath) saw off Carlow Town (Carlow) by 2-20 to 2-9.
