Sympathy

Our club was greatly saddened on the passing recently of Liam Tynan of Fisherstown.
Liam was only very recently returned to the position of Vice-President of our club at our AGM. He was a long time committee member of our club and served as a very diligent club treasurer in the 1980's. Liam was also a selector on junior and intermediate championship winning teams in 1986 and 1987 and also with Courtwood/Emo under 21 championship winning teams in 1989 and 1990.
He played his football with the old Jamestown club and with Annanough and was involved with their most successful periods in the 1940's and 1950's.
Our sympathies are extended to Liam's wife Mae, daughters Elizabeth and Geraldine, brother Denis and all Liam's family.
As a mark of respect, the club formed a guard of honour for Liam's removal to Rath church last Saturday week.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

The sympathy of all in the club is also extended to the Hogan family, Bellgrove on the recent passing of Elizabeth Prior, Morette.

Elizabeth's grandson Conor, is a prominent member of our club's intermediate team and our thoughts are with all the family at this time.
