Laois defender Robbie Kehoe is eager to make the most of his extended run in the side.

Kehoe has been a member of the Laois squad for the past four years, but it is only this year that he has made the corner back position his own.

And the O'Dempsey's man is determined to hold on to his place as Laois prepare to face Carlow in the opening round of the Leinster SFC on Saturday night.

"It's a huge boost for me, I'm delighted," Kehoe told the Leinster Express. "I have been around the Laois panel for four years or that, so it's great to finally get a few games, and play every game in the league this year.

"It's nice to build on it and try to cement your place in the team come the championship, and that's the main thing."
