Laois manager Tomas O'Flatharta acknowledges that his side are up against it over the remainder of the NFL.

Two defeats from their opening two matches has left the O'Moore County facing a relegation battle already.

They have Galway after the break and O'Flatharta stressed to the Leinster Express, the importance of that game now.

"We know that it is a challenge now at this stage," said O'Flatharta. "We have five more games left and you'd be looking down the road asking where are we going to get wins there?

"We have to keep working on it, we're down in Tuam against Galway next, and that is a real key game for us."
