September 21, 2014

Ballygunner captain Shane O'Sullivan lifts the trophy after the game.

While the All-Ireland SFC final will take centre stage today, there are also important hurling games down for decision in Clare, Waterford and Laois.

At 5.15pm in Cusack Park, Ennis, Clarecastle and Cratloe will battle it out for a place in the Canon Hamilton Cup final against Crusheen, who defeated Clonlara yesterday. Cratloe are chasing a SHC and SFC double with the footballers in semi-final action against Cooraclare next weekend.

In the second of the weekend's Waterford SHC semi-finals, Ballygunner will take on Dungarvan at Fraher Field at 6.15pm. And Abbeyleix and Rathdowney-Errill will renew their rivalry in their Laois SHC semi-final replay at O'Moore Park at 6pm.

The winners will meet Camross in the final.
