With no games and no notion when we will once again see teams take to the field, former Dublin football legend Vinnie Murphy has come up with a novel conversation starter.
The former Trinity Gaels clubman picked a team of the best players he played against and with.
Murphy made his Dublin debut as a minor in 1988, playing full forward in that year's Leinster final against Meath legend Mick Lyons who unsurprisingly makes it onto the best opposition team.
An All-Ireland winner in 1995, Murphy then moved to Kerry to live and represented the Kingdom in hurling.
He never played football for Kerry but two of his Kerins O'Rahillys teammates make the list of best players he lined out with – Declan Quill and Barry O'Shea.
Let's hope some more follow Vinnie's lead.
