Rathdowney-Errill manager John Delaney believes that they can make their mark in the Leinster club SHC this year.

Following their impressive win over Borris-Kilcotton on Sunday afternoon, they made amends for last year’s defeat to Camross following an impressive performance in this year’s decider.

Now, Delaney has turned his attentions to the provincial campaign where they will play Offaly champions St Rynagh’s on Sunday week.

“I’m looking forward to the Leinster championship, I still think we’ve more in us and as a Laois team after winning a county final, we’re going to look forward and embrace it,” Delaney told the Leinster Express.

“We’re there now and it’ll be a battle. It’s here as well in O’Moore Park which is a help.”
