Former Birr and Offaly hurler Donal Franks has been appointed manager of the Laois intermediate camogie team.

Franks previously managed the Offaly camogie side as well as a number of hurling clubs, including Clonkill (Westmeath), Birr and Shamrocks (Offaly), Naas (Kildare), Abbeyleix (Laois) and Round Towers (Dublin). He also coached the Westmeath hurlers during Johnny Dooley's tenure a decade ago.

Rosenallis' Simon Smith will be the strength and conditioning coach.
