Portlaoise’ Kieran Lillis is adamant that they are determined to push on in the Leinster club SFC.

Having dominated the Laois championship for the past two decades, Portlaoise claimed their 34th title last weekend.

They now have a few weeks to prepare for the Leinster club SFC as they play the winners of the clash between the Kildare and Westmeath champions.

And Lillis stressed to the Leinster Express that previous successes in Leinster count for nothing as they look forward to this year’s campaign.

“Two thousand and nine is a distant memory for me, I couldn’t tell you anything about it. I was 19 and I didn’t appreciate it really,” said Lillis.

“Every year there’s always a dream, and we just have to go chase that dream now and knuckle down. It’s going to be a serious challenge, but we’ll assess it in the next week and please God drive on and give anyone a rattle.”
