Laois champions Camross face a tough opener as they begin their Leinster club SHC campaign this weekend.
They face Carlow champions Mount Leinster Rangers who reached the All-Ireland club decider as recently as 2014, having lifted the Leinster crown a couple of months earlier.
MLR won the county title last month, which was their first since that historic run to Croke Park, but they have the majority of that side still in their ranks.
Laois' record in the provincial campaign has not been great in recent years and the fact that Camross have had to wait six weeks for this game, will not help their cause.
One thing, Camross do have on their side is history and they will be hoping that will be on their side this weekend, while home advantage could also be a telling factor.
