Well done to all the U16 girls who attended our last U16 session before our first championship match against Monaghan on Saturday 18th March. All the girls would like to wish Stephen McVeigh and St. Louis Grammar School all the best on Monday in their All Ireland Schools U19 semi-final and best wishes to the U16 girls Alice McAlea, Emma McVeigh and Sorcha McCartan who are on their panel and the county U16 panel. Details of the Monaghan game will be confirmed shortly via WhatsApp and social media.

Down U15 Ladies Development Team
U15's played a challenge game on Sunday morning 12th March against the RGU U16 team. The girls continue to improve with every game and this was excellent preparation prior to the league game next Saturday against Armagh. Many thanks to RGU for arranging the match. The game next Saturday 18th March, will take place at Clan na Gael Lurgan, with throw in at 1.30pm.

Down U14 Ladies County Team / U13 Ladies County Development Team
DOWN U13s AND U14s ENJOY THE ULSTER BLITZ 2017
Down had 4 teams taking part in the Ulster Blitz held in Galbally, County Tyrone on Saturday 11th March. Over 60 girls had a great day competing against County Teams from Armagh, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Derry and Antrim. One of the U13 teams reached the final in their competition but lost out in the end to a very strong and competitive Antrim team. An U14 team also reached their final but were beaten in the end by Donegal. The Ulster Championship and leagues now commence in the next few weeks with the U13s first up away to Derry followed by the U14s who host Fermanagh on Saturday 8th April in Newry. The girls certainly added a splash of colour on the day with all 64 girls kitted out in their new County 1/2 zips. Many thanks to all the parents who made the long trip to support all 4 teams.
