Dublin star Sinead Goldrick says “there’s a lot of uncertainty” over whether or not she’ll be returning back to Australia for a second season with Melbourne in the AFLW.

Goldrick had been in Melbourne along with team mate Niamh McEvoy when the Coronavirus pandemic told hold and their club helped to fly them home just before the cancellation of the Aussie Rules season.

Speaking at the Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps for children yesterday, Goldrick said that both players have been offered new contracts with Melbourne and now have until the end of next month to decide whether to return Down Under.

"At the moment there’s a lot of uncertainty," said the three-time All-Ireland winner.

"In Melbourne they’re in complete lockdown, their second, for six to eight weeks.

"There’s that to consider and also Dublin next year, with Covid you don’t know how everything is going to happen.

"We’ve been offered one (a contract) but I have to take a moment and consider all the different aspects."
