Queen's University beat University of Ulster Magee in the Gourmet Food Parlour Donaghy Cup

"I don’t think I’d be half the person I am if I didn’t have football" - Queens University captain Geraldine Walsh sought out the Ladies Gaelic Football club as soon as she swopped Listowel for Belfast.

Last night, her team beat University of Ulster Magee in the Gourmet Food Parlour Donaghy Cup, where rival captain Niamh Fitzpatrick (Aghadrumsee, Fermanagh) emphasised the importance of sport.

"If the girls are ever down they can come to training and talk it out, then we end up laughing! It really does relieve stress levels when you’re with a great bunch of girls who you know won’t judge you," says Fitzpatrick, who is also Chairperson of the club at Magee.
