Cora Staunton's goal against the Western Bulldogs has won the Great Western Giants' 'Goal of the Year' accolade.

The Carnacon and Mayo ace made a seamless transition to the oval ball code after travelling Down Under and she was a driving force behind the Giants' rise up the ladder.

After winning just one game the previous season, they finished fourth on the ladder and a defeat to the Brisbane Lions cost them a place in the NAB AFLW Grand Final.
