Here's one for the record books...
Last night in Dublin's CityWest Hotel, Kerry's Lorraine Scanlon emulated her mother Mary (nee Lane) by winning a TG4 ladies football All-Star. What's more, Lorraine received the accolade exactly 30 years after her mother was similarly honoured in 1987!
The 24-year-old PE teacher from the Castleisland Desmonds club was named at midfield. Caroline Kelly, who was selected at right half back, is the other Kerry representative on this year's All-Stars team.
