cats field football team
The problem with Kilkenny is that they are very bad losers. Im not being smart but thats the truth. So the only way to avoid losing when you have a bad team is not to enter at all. Its an awful attitude for any county to have and the fact that you dont support your footballers takes the gloss from your great achievements at hurling. Laois hurlers or footballers probably will never win an all ireland but that wont stop us from taking part and at least trying to win one.

Better all round team-Wexford '96 or Kilkenny '08?
Clare 95-98 would beat both. Should have won the All-Ireland in 1998 only for a stupid refeering mistake.

Playing football in north west England
There is a new club forming in Chester called Chester Noamh Padraig. Anyone who lives in Chester and/or the surrounding areas and are interested in playing Gaelic Football drop me an email shanec2k@gmail.com. Those who travel to Manchester or Liverpool can save time and money on fuel and travelling and join this club which is extremely convenient. This club has been founded on the back of a very successful University team in Chester. Anyway people looking forward to hearing any responses , thanks Shane

kilkenny's best 15 of the past 15 years
Liam Fennely was there 15 years ago on the 93 team. He surely has to be in the full forward line. Joe Hennessy would have been close also.

Football team in kilkenny to join
Ya I think the country teams would be the best. Both Erin's Own (Castlecomer) - country towm approx 3000 population & Muckalee - country side , 3 parish's combine to form teams, both do take the football somewhat seriously and put a effort into training. Also you'd be in the country, house's are cheaper, but yet only 10 mins form kilkenny city??? I know Castlecomer have a few Dub's in the club already -at under age level, and have put a huge effort into underage in the last few years, and have had alot of sucess in the last few years as have muckalee. If it was me I'd go to either of the above, above the city team's - no disrespect to them, but their very big clubs, where as the above are smaller clubs, which might help your kids to settle in better???? just a opinion!!!

Football team in kilkenny to join
I am living in Kilkenny for the last eight years or more and the best option in the city is either James Stephens (The Village) or O' Loughlin Gaels. Both are senior clubs and regularly contest the Senior Championship Finals every year. The big problem is that neither teams do any kind of training at all and generally just put out the hurling teams to fulfill a football fixture. Anybody I know from footballing counties who play club football in Kilkenny are either frustrated or just regard it as a pastime. The other three options are Muckalee who take it fairly seriously (10 miles north of the city) Castlecomer (12 miles north of city) and Railyard (15 miles north of the city). Railyard only play football and are probably the most successful football team of all time in the county. If you are going to live in the city though you are probably better off with the Village as they have fantastic facilities and have a great underage set up for kids (hurling). Best of luck with finding a club.
