There are 11 senior football teams in Kilkenny. There are as followsm
Muckalee, Glenmore, O`Loughlin Gaels, Mooncoin, Kilmoganny, Carrickshock, Mullinavat, Dicksboro, Railyard, Erins Own and James Stephens. Muckalee and Mullinavat topped there groups and the last round of league matches were played in June. The championship will be starting soon. Glenmore beat Muckalee in last years county final. But to be honest wherever you are going to live in Kilkenny, nearly every club has a football team. Finding a team is not that difficult. Getting games that's a different matter. Most games are held over the winter.

You'll find that football games are played over the christmas when the hurling is completely over. I've played games over the last few years on St. Stephen's Day, great way to run off the turkey from the day before. Are you at senior standard in Carlow? You should consider playing for Kilkenny too, we could do with a few football men on the team since most give hurling their first choice.

He could come in handy on the Kilkenny team. I heard for the London game this year half the Kilkenny football team were in Thurlas watching KK play Tipp in the hurling. There are some great footballers but not alot of interested people.

Hey i'm just wondering what club football teams from Kilkenny enter the provincial championship. Do the Kilkenny Intermediate champions enter the Leinster Junior? The reason I ask this is because Kilmessan a meath hurling club won the Leinster Intermediate title a few years ago against a Kilkenny club, however Kilmessan were the Meath Senior Club Champions at the time.
