Club official rubbishes Shefflin injury concerns

Henry Shefflin
A Kilkenny club official has brushed aside the speculation that Henry Shefflin will not be fit for next month's All-Ireland SHC final against Waterford.
The Cats ace did not feature in his club side Ballyhale Shamrocks' league final against Tullaroan on Sunday last, brining about speculation that Henry is in a race against time to be fit for the All-Ireland Champions' showdown with the Deise on September 7.
However Shamrocks club secretary Dave Gallagher has revealed that there is no problems with Shefflin's fitness, who underwent a cruciate ligament operation after last year's All-Ireland final over Limerick.
"He didn't pick up an injury against Carrickshock - he just decided to take a break for the Tullaroan match," revealed Gallagher.
"Admittedly, Henry has played three Championship games for Kilkenny last year, but still it's only last October since he had the operation."
Incidentally, Kilkenny captain James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick returned from the groin injury which forced him off against Cork in the semi-final to line-out for club side Ballyhale on Sunday, where he saw out the full 60 minutes and is also said to be in no danger of missing the All-Ireland final next month.
