Following hot on the heels of Eoin Larkin's retirement announcement, one of Kilkenny's best known footballers has also decided to hang up the boots.
Four years ago, a picture of Paul Donnelly and former Kildare All-Star Dermot Earley went viral after their paths crossed in a Leinster JFC fixture.
The Railyard clubman, who, according to his Twitter bio, 'dislikes training and has a love for fast food', made the announcement on social media and his former sparring partner was one of the first to wish him well in retirement.
Finally I can say I'm joining this man in retirement @dermotearley @KilkennyCLG #Gaa pic.twitter.com/5qoeLx7Qyl
