With six games down for decision over the weekend, we were spoilt for choice when it came to selecting our football team of the week...

1. Raymond Galligan (Cavan)

More often than not his kick-outs reached their intended target and he also contributed a converted '45' and a point-blank save late on.

2. Declan Kyne (Galway)

One of the newcomers in the Galway starting 15, Kyne repaid manager Kevin Walsh's faith in him with a five star display.

3. Mark Timmons (Laois)

The experienced O'Moore County defender helped restrict Armagh to just six points from play in Portlaoise.

4. Brendan Kavanagh (Carlow)

Kavanagh and the Barrowsiders secured the bragging rights over neighbours Wicklow.

5. Colm Cavanagh (Tyrone)

Lined out at midfield but, as usual, spent most of his time in defence and also chipped in with a point for good measure.

6. Niall Sludden (Tyrone)

Neutralised Seanie Johnston's threat but spurned a late opportunity to win the game for the Red Hands.

7. Niall Murray (Cavan)

The Breffni half-back clipped over a fantastic second-half point and was solid in defence.

8. Paul Conroy (Galway)

Conway's experience was a vital ingredient in the Tribesmen's long overdue championship victory over their arch rivals.

9. Brendan Murphy (Carlow)

Carlow manager Turlough O'Brien sang the praises of Murphy and his midfield partner Sean Gannon following their victory over Wicklow.

10. Mattie Donnelly (Tyrone)

Came out on top in his personal duel with Cavan captain Gearoid McKiernan and found the target with two crucial second-half scores.

11. James Kielt (Derry)

Derry got their Ulster SFC defeat to Tyrone out of their system when disposing of Louth and Kielt led the way with 1-9.

12. Ronan Kennedy (Leitrim)

Kennedy's return of seven points sent Leitrim on the road to only their second success in the qualifiers.

13. Eamon Brannigan (Galway)

Another of the Galway newbies who helped tear up the formguide, Brannigan raised three white flags in MacHale Park.

14. David Givney (Cavan)

Rescued a share of the spoils for Terry Hyland's charges with his second goal of the contest and asked plenty of questions of the Tyrone full-back line.

15. Ronan O'Neill (Tyrone)

Caused plenty of headaches for marker Fergal Flanagan and continued his rich vein of scoring form with five points.
