Double blow for Cats as two former Hurlers of the Year injured in same club game

The clock is ticking for Richie Hogan and Michael Fennelly ahead of Kilkenny's Leinster SHC semi-final clash with Dublin after both men picked up injuries in the same match on Saturday.

It's less than three weeks now until the defending All-Ireland champions put their provincial crown on the line against the Dubs at O'Moore Park and there are concerns over the fitness of key men Hogan and Fennelly, both of whom had to be replaced during Ballyhale Shamrocks' eight-point victory over Danesfort in Callan last weekend.

2014 Hurler of the Year Hogan sustained a hand injury when blocking down a Fennelly puck in the first half and was called ashore during the break, while 2011 Hurler of the Year Fennelly had to withdraw with a hamstring problem.
