All-Ireland club champions Ballyhale Shamrocks remain firmly on course to retain their county crown after easing to a 3-17 to 0-16 quarter-final victory over Fenian's at Kilmanagh yesterday.
Mark Webster had two early points for the Johnstown men, but quick-fire goals from Colin Fennelly and TJ Reid soon had them on the back-foot. TJ Reid scored a third goal in the 22nd minute to help Ballyhale to a 3-6 to 0-11 interval lead, and they stayed in control throughout the second half with Henry Shefflin finishing with a personal tally of 0-8.
Joining the holders in the last four will be 2013 winners Clara and last year's intermediate champions Mullinavat.
Clara got the better of Erin's Own 0-12 to 1-5 on Saturday, while the 'Vat were 0-18 to 0-12 winners over Rower-Inistioge last evening.
The last quarter-final between city rivals O'Loughlin Gaels and Dicksboro - who defeated Danesfort by 0-15 to 1-8 in their first round replay on Saturday - will take place next weekend.
