There was positive news on the injury front for Kilkenny over the weekend with Eoin Larkin (James Stephens) and Richie Power (Carrickshock) lining out in the local senior hurling leagues.

Both players missed the Cats' league campaign because of long-term injuries but, according to The Irish Independent, they came through their games unscathed.

Former All-Star Michael Rice (Carrickshock) and Conor Fogarty (Erin's Own), who broke a bone in his leg in the opening league loss to Cork, didn't feature but could return for the next round on May 15.
