St Kieran's aim to deliver another big performance in the Leinster PPS senior hurling championship final.

Having already won the provincial league crown, the Kilkenny school booked a championship final date with St Peter's College, Wexford at Dr Cullen Park this Saturday afternoon when beating Good Counsel by 16 points in last weekend's semi-final.

"We will have to have the same attitude against St Peter's," selector Liam Smith told The Kilkenny People. "I saw St Peter's in the opening round - they are very good, very mobile, they are good hurlers.

"A lot of them came through the Wexford Development Squads and we have seen them against the Kilkenny squads. They are very good.

"All of their lads can hurl and they have a couple of big backs who should be strong in the air. Their inside line is lethal.

"If you go into a final and your head is not right you can be beaten by anyone. Our focus will be right. We have a great bunch of players. They are not even good; they are great, lovely fellas."

St Kieran's are seeking their 53rd title and first since 2012.
