Moloney expecting huge test

December 04, 2014

Ballyhale Shamrocks manager Andy Moloney expects Kilcormac-Killoughey to test his side in Sunday's Leinster senior club hurling championship final.

The Kilkenny champions are favourites to take the silverware in Portlaoise on Sunday afternoon but Moloney is taking nothing for granted:

"Tests don't come much bigger than this," he notes in The Kilkenny People. "Kilcormac-Killoughey were in the All-Ireland club final two years ago and they could easily have won it.

"They are a serious outfit. We know we are up against it and the lads will have to produce their best if they are to win.

"It will take something like our county final form to win this one. No Offaly team ever fears Kilkenny. Likewise, Kilkenny teams always give a good account of themselves against Offaly opposition.

"We have it all to do. If we get over Sunday, it will be a good day's work."
