Michael Fennelly thoroughly enjoyed Ballyhale Shamrocks' 15th Kilkenny SHC success.

Following last weekend's final win over Clara, the former Hurler of the Year told The Kilkenny People:

"That was a nice one to win. It was a tough game. We couldn't relax at all because Clara are such a dangerous side when it comes to getting goals.

"They have such a fast side and weren't the reigning county champions for nothing.

"The lads played exceptionally well. Some lads played above their own levels - and what better day than the county final to do it?

"I'm delighted for the club and for the players who have ploughed away all year through the cold and wet weather."
