Walsh: we can't let the county down

November 13, 2014

Manager Christy Walsh says newly-crowned junior hurling champions Bennettsbridge can't let Kilkenny down.

The 'Bridge thumped Mooncoin in last weekend's county decider and will go forth to face Dunderry of Meath in Trim in the Leinster club championship this Sunday:

"We will enjoy this for a few days because it took us a while to get the win, but we will get the minds ready for Leinster quickly enough," Walsh told The Kilkenny People.

"This is the direction this club needs to be moving. This is a big club with a proud tradition. We will enjoy the victory and we will have a go in the Leinster championship.

"We are Kilkenny champions and it would be expected of us that we will have a go. We can't let the county down."
