'Vat boss targets Leinster run

Mullinavat manager Declan Wall won't be happy with a Kilkenny double; he has his eyes on Leinster!

The Kilkenny intermediate league and championship winners are turning their attentions to Leinster now, having beaten St Patrick's in last weekend's county decider.

"There is no point in finishing hurling next week," Wall tells The Kilkenny People ahead of Sunday's Leinster opener against Kildare champions Coill Dubh at Newbridge.

"The Leinster club championship can help us develop even further, if we can get things together and do well in it. That competition will open up a whole new level of competition to us.

"I want these guys to succeed, to win as much as they can. Look what the provincial club competition has done for so many Kilkenny clubs down the years.

"There is no point in being satisfied now. We are carrying the Kilkenny flag now. We will enjoy this moment but we can't think it is the end of the season for us."
