JBM: three-week wait too long

Jimmy Barry-Murphy says Kilkenny and Tipperary shouldn't have to wait three weeks to replay the 2014 All-Ireland SHC final.

After their epic encounter last Sunday, the traditional giants won't renew acquaintances until Saturday fortnight, September 27th, and Cork boss JBM - whose Rebels met Clare in a replayed decider twelve months ago - reckons the delay is far too long:

"I would certainly think the three-week gap is too long, very hard on everybody involved," the Leeside legend is quoted in The Irish Times.

"That's the way things break now, obviously, and it's the same for both teams. But my personal opinion is that they'd be much better served by bringing them back to Croke Park this Saturday evening, and be done with it.

"I think it's terrible, from a players' point of view, that they have to wait another three weeks."
