It was All-Ireland senior hurling championship semi-final day as Kilkenny and Limerick met at Croke Park.

Limerick havn't had had the best of luck at GAA headquarters in recent years and they were keen to make amends for last year's collapse against Clare at the same stage.

People continued to write Kilkenny off, but the Cats keep bouncing back and they were many people's favourites to advance to yet another All-Ireland final.
