Cody has 100% record against Treaty

July 31, 2014
Brian Cody boasts a 100% record as Kilkenny manager against Limerick in the championship.

Mind you, the sides have only met twice during the summertime under Cody's watch!

Cody took charge of the Black & Amber in 1998 and had to wait until 2007 for his first knockout outing against the Shannonsiders. This came in the All-Ireland final of that year and the Cats prevailed by seven points, 2-19 to 1-15, to claim their 30th All-Ireland title.

Two years ago, the teams met again at the quarter-final stage. Henry Shefflin bagged a couple of first-half goals as the Cats won by 4-16 to 1-16 en route to another All-Ireland crown.

When they meet again at Croke Park on Sunday, August 10th, it will be the first time that Kilkenny and Limerick have ever faced off in an All-Ireland SHC semi-final.
