Kilkenny hurler TJ Reid and Dublin football star Paul Flynn have named the Opel GAA/GPA Players of the Month for June.
Ballyhale Shamrocks clubman Reid has had a magnificent championship to date, with his haul of 2-11 having helped Kilkenny to see off Galway in the Leinster SHC semi-final replay. The Cats defeated Dublin in last Sunday's decider.
Flynn, meanwhile, has been to the fore in Dublin's qualification for Sunday week's Leinster SFC final against Meath, impressing in their wins to date against Laois and Wexford.
GPA chief-executive Dessie Farrell said: "I would like to congratulate TJ and Paul on being recognised by their fellow players for outstanding performances in June. TJ has become a scoring sensation in the Kilkenny attack and delivered unbelievable performances during his county's two thrilling clashes with Galway in June.
"Paul is one of the most outstanding players of the current generation and his ability and work-rate have contributed enormously to Dublin's current success, including last month's victories over Laois and Wexford. Thanks to all the players who registered their votes and to Opel for their support of the GAA/GPA awards."
