It's tribalism, says CBS selector

March 27, 2014
Kilkenny CBS selector Ger Morrissey is relishing the all-Kilkenny 2014 All-Ireland PP Schools Hurling Championship final.

The James's Street school will face city rivals St Kieran's in the first-ever all-Kilkenny final at Nowlan Park on Saturday week.

"It's great for the county," Morrissey says in The Kilkenny People. "It shows the strength of hurling in our area.

"It's tribalism. There's a real rivalry there between the lads, which is fantastic. Our boys wanted to get to the final and they are delighted.

"Some of those lads have been on the road with this team since they were in transition year. They're experienced now but they haven't got that Croke Cup medal in their collection. That's what they're looking for."
