Nowlan Park to get new stand
November 21, 2008
Kilkenny's county grounds are set to be furnished with a new 4,500-seater stand.
As the latest part of the Nowlan Park redevelopment, the 1.5m euro stand will be built at the county end of the grounds. It will bring the ground's seating capacity up to 19,000.
The development work began in 1995 and about 6m has been invested in the project since then.
County chairman Paul Kinsella confirmed: "It will be a completely covered and seated stand. We hope it will lead to us getting more big games at the venue."
