Meath clubs loom large for Kilkenny representatives

November 21, 2008
Kilkenny champions will lock horns with Meath opposition in THREE different provincial club championship contests this weekend. Interestingly, two of those games are in football competitions... At Nowlan Park on Sunday, Erin's Own (Castlecomer) bid for their first-ever Leinster title when they meet Kilmessan in the Leinster intermediate club hurling championship final. Across the city, at the same time, James Stephens host St Ultan's at their Larchfield venue in the semi-final stage of the Leinster intermediate club football championship. Staying with football, Mooncoin must travel to Navan to face Moynalvey in the final of the Leinster junior club football championship. The Kilkenny senior hurling champions and junior hurling champions (Shamrocks and Tullogher-Rosbercon respectively) are also through to provincial finals.
