Cody reappointed Cats boss

November 11, 2008
Brian Cody was last night reappointed Kilkenny hurling manager for an 11th successive season. Widely regarded as the most successful hurling manager in the modern game, the James Stephens clubman led the Cats to an historic three-in-a-row of All-Ireland titles last September and will attempt to mastermind a fourth successive triumph in 2009. It took no more than two minutes for delegates to rubberstamp Cody's reappointment at last night's county board meeting. He will once again be joined by selectors Martin Fogarty and Michael Dempsey. Also reappointed were Michael Walsh as under 21 hurling manager, Richie Mulrooney as minor team boss and Pat Hoban as intermediate team manager. All four managers achieved All-Ireland success with their respective teams this year.
