Ballyhale concede home advantage

November 10, 2008
Kilkenny hurling kingpins Ballyhale Shamrocks have sportingly agreed to give up home advantage for Saturday's Leinster club hurling clash with Westmeath champions Raharney. The game was originally fixed for Nowlan Park, but Ballyhale will now travel to Cusack Park, Mullingar for the game against rank outsiders Raharney, who defeated All-Ireland intermediate champions Clonkill to win their second Westmeath SHC title in three years last month. Kilkenny won praise for a similar gesture two years ago when they agreed to play their Leinster semi-final against Westmeath in Mullingar.
