Cats name side for IHC final

August 29, 2008
Kilkenny have made two changes ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Championship final with Limerick, along with a significant number of positional changes. Sean Cummins comes in at full-back, with Kieran Joyce moving up to the wing and Shane Prendergast taking the left corner-back position as James Cahill is dropped to the bench. Damien Fogarty is waiting on a late fitness test, but in named at centre-field regardless, while Conor Phelan and Pat Hartley occupy the centre-forward and centre-back positions respectively for the Black Cats. Michale Grace is named at right corner-forward with Peter Cleere taking up the number 14 jersey, which means that Cathal Dunne must be content among the substitutes. Niall Walsh is moved to centre-field, supposedly to be partnered by Fogarty, with Philly Lonergan switching to right half-back. Kilkenny (IHC v Limerick): L Tierney; M Phelan, S Cummins, S Prendergast; P Lonergan, P Hartley, K Joyce; N Walsh, D Fogarty; B Beckett, C Phelan, P Hogan; M Grace, P Cleere, N O'Doherty.
