There has been much talk about the mounting injuries that Kilkenny have had to deal with, but their manager Brian Cody stated that they are part of the game.

Most managers would lament over what can only be described as an injury crisis in the camp, but Cody is taking it all in his stride.

Last Sunday following the win over Carlow in the Leinster SHC, Colin Fennelly, Walter Walsh and Alan Murphy joined the likes of Eoin Murphy, Cillian Buckley and James Maher on the treatment table.

“Everybody talks about the injuries, but we don’t talk about the injuries,” Cody told the Kilkenny People.

“We have a panel of players and as I’m saying the whole time we are still picking from a position of strength as far as I’m concerned.

“There is good quality on the bench as well, so it’s not a question of who we don’t have. It’s a question of who we have.”
