Tony Kelly has lodged an appeal against the red card he was shown in last Saturday's Allianz Hurling League defeat to Tipperary.
He was sent to the line by referee Colm Lyons in the 44th minute of the Banner County's 1-11 to 2-16 defeat at Semple Stadium following a challenge on Padraic Maher.
The Clare Champion reports that the 2013 'Hurler of the Year' is to appear in front of the GAA's Central Appeals Committee tomorrow night in a bid to be eligible to line out against Kilkenny this weekend.
