This year’s Kilkenny SHC final will see Ballyhale Shamrocks up against Bennettsbridge next Sunday.
The Henry Shefflin managed Shamrocks scraped through to the decider after a stoppage time goal saw them edge out Erin’s Own by the minimum margin (1-16 to 1-15) in today’s semi-final at Nowlan Park.
Anthony Owens netted a third minute goal for the Castlecomer side and they led by 1-7 to 0-8 at the change of ends before Evan Shefflin’s 62nd minute green flag snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for Ballyhale.
TJ Reid raised five white flags for the winners while Erin’s Own’s Michael Murphy finished as the game’s top scorer with nine points.
