Kilkenny manager Brian Cody admits that they face a tough task in the Leinster SHC final.

The Cats have already been well beaten by Galway in the Leinster SHC round robin phase and now the sides do battle again in the decider.

Cody admitted to the Kilkenny People that Galway are the form team at the moment and it is up to his charges to lift their game if they are to have any chance against the Tribesmen.

"We know the challenge that is here," said Cody. "It is huge. It is brilliant. A draw wouldn't have been enough for us. It was so tight, so close, and it was very satisfying to see the way the players picked off the points (against Wexford).

He added: "Galway are a terrific team. Physically they are huge. They are very skilful. The challenge is there for us. It is terrific to be facing it."
