Kilkenny manager Brian Cody has reiterated his desire to win the NHL.

Cody has brought through a number of youngsters this year with the likes of Joe Lyng, Richie Leahy, Alan Murphy and Martin Keoghan all impressing during the campaign so far.

The Kilkenny manager could be forgiven for being just happy to get to the penultimate stage of the NHL. However, he told the Kilkenny People that winning the league title would be a massive boost to his new look squad.

"The semi-final is a good placed to be," said Cody. "As I always say, I would love to win the league and we are still in it. Like I said last week, we weren't being tipped at all to get this far, so we are happy."

Kilkenny face Wexford or Galway in the semi-final on either Saturday or Sunday week. They will have to do so without the likes of Paul Murphy, Colin Fennelly, Richie Hogan and Kevin Kelly, all of whom have missed the campaign so far.
