Ger Aylward could make his return to the Kilkenny colours against Tipperary this weekend.

The Irish Independent is reporting that the former All Star attacker is back in the Kilkenny frame after impressing in a recent challenge match. Manager Brian Cody confirmed after last Sunday's win over Waterford that he wouldn't be calling on squad members who are involved in tomorrow's Fitzgibbon Cup final, which could open the door for Aylward's return.

The Glenmore clubman enjoyed a memorable championship debut in 2015 when he scored 3-5 against Wexford before going on to win an All Star that year.
